The vineyards from which Berg is produced are located on the edge of the vineyards next to small wooded areas. High up on the mountain (mountain = Berg), with slightly lower temperatures, the warming rays of the evening sun can increase the extract values of the grapes. In autumn, the grapes golden, juicy, and ripe, are harvested in these special vineyards.

Lesom Weine
Our wine journey began in 2018. We completed training
as winemakers together and studied viticulture and oenology at Geisenheim University.
Using our senses, moving around, breathing fresh air, and
creating a product we can identify with.
Jessika and Philpp founded their winery, LESOM Weine, in 2021 and started with a few small vineyards.
Now, in 2026, they cultivate about 2 hectares of vineyardsand and a 0.4-hectare garden.
The vineyards are the heart of LESOM. Old vines give the wines their soul. The vineyards are located in cool eastern locations, warm southern locations, and western locations that glisten in the evening sun. The soil consists of weathered Devonian slate that shimmers in shades of gray, blue, black, gold, and red. Each location has its own terroir and climate. This allows us to produce so many different wines from a single grape variety, Riesling!
