Els Perles Colectivo, is a group of friends in love with wine, Tenerife and Life. We are looking for
the most pure expression of the volcanic climats of La Orotova. Working our 2 small vineyards
(1,2 ha in total) with the biggest respect for the nature. Planted in cordon trenzado, ungrafted,
growing with a lot of other trees, animals, and native plants. But at the same time searching in the
traditional lagar (concrete open tanks) the purity and the connection between the human and the
fruit, doing all the processes with human energy, and with no more ingredients added than our
grapes.
Els Perles Jarrita, it's a Single Vineyard at Finca la Jarrita, It's a beautiful mosaic planted with vines
growed in cordon trenzado, citrus, abocados, almonds, wallnuts, apples, pears, coffee, and much
more threes and a lot of different plants and native vegetables. It's the place where we have the
concrete lagar too, where we vinify all the wines. This cuvée is a little homage to the more
traditional way of producing wine in the lagar in the island. Harvesting the field blend 67% Listan
negro, 35%Listan blanco, 3% Moscatel Alexandria and crushing the grapes on the wooden
boards, and macerate for a couple days the whole clusters in the lagar to press easier in the old
manual basket press. In this first vintage we fermented spontaniously in one of the concrete open
tanks in the lagar, and aged in a stain steel tank, because the concrete tank don't arrive on time.
All the processes by gravity, or human power, from the harvest to the bottling.
